We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
Over the next four years those truths will be tested, but we can and we must make a choice, every day, to listen to our better angels to restore the soul of this nation.
We must hold onto inspiration and find common ground. We must support the efforts of those working towards building a better tomorrow. And we must amplify the voices speaking truth to power, and those attempting to stabilize the faltering fourth estate.
Democracy is defiant, and we are here to preserve that freedom for all Americans.
